A Moment to Celebrate!

Salamata was a bright and curious child, excited to be starting school in 2006, the year of our first school supply distribution. We are thrilled to report that after many years of hard work, she has become the first in her family to graduate from university! Now, equipped with degrees in both English and accounting, Salamata has quickly landed a fulfilling job in Senegal’s very difficult job market. Just after her recent graduation, Salamata shared the following thoughts with us and asked that we pass them on to you, our supporters…

“When I was a child, I had the good fortune of receiving school supplies from Kids of Kadiogne through many years of school. I grew up in a village where access to basic learning materials was not easy, and this support allowed me to attend classes with more confidence. It may not be the only reason I was able to earn my diploma today, but I know that without this help, my journey would have been much harder.

“Kids of Kadiogne does more than provide notebooks and pens: they bring hope, encouragement, and the feeling that we, children from the villages, also matter. Today, I carry this generosity in my heart, and I sincerely wish that other children can benefit from it just like I did.

“Now I find myself in the position of being able to make a small contribution to Kids of Kadiogne. I deeply believe that every contribution, no matter how small, can help change a life. Supporting Kids of Kadiogne means investing in children’s future, in their education, and in their dignity.”
