Ophthalmological Health Fair in Keur Balla

Kids of K was excited to sponsor a two-day ophthalmological health fair in the village of Keur Balla over the second weekend of December! The event was organized by our local partner Mon Pays Mon Avenir and focused on free eye exams, while also offering general health assessments to all residents. Many attendees received prescriptions for eyeglasses, instructions and medications for managing minor health concerns, and referrals for additional assessment from specialists. One community member was transported directly to the hospital for treatment of acute symptoms related to previously undiagnosed cancer.
